Futuristic ambitions can sometimes lead to crazy inventions that are ahead of their time, and while some have revolutionised our lives, other creations are better known for being spectacular failures....but they have all been important in leading us to where we are today! So, let's enjoy a bit of nostalgia and look at some of the things progress has promised and then improved upon, but also maybe include things that were only ever in the realms of sci-fi shows.
