OK, so we may not be quite sure just how, why, when or where dogs did become Man's best friend....but I think we are generally grateful that we share our world with both the majestic wild wolves that roam very varied habitats, and also with the huge variety of domesticated pooches who often now share just about every aspect of our lives and contribute so much to our wellbeing.
