Today is all about the black caped and cowled character famous for his very well equipped 'utility belt' who made his debut in Detective Comics issue #27 back in May 1939. That may be when Batman first started his crime fighting career, but he has since biffed, thwapped and kapowed his way to becoming a pop culture legend!
