Welcome to From Chameleons to Komodos on Thursday - it's World Lizard Day! 🦎

August 14, 2025

Good morganite, friends! A very happy Thursday to you all!! It's time to grab your cup of tea or coffee and enjoy some friendly conversation with one another.

We may generally see lizards as less than attractive-looking creatures, but they are incredibly varied and really quite fascinating! There are around 6000 lizard species around the world in sizes ranging from less than 15 mm to 3 metres in length, and can be found on every continent except Antarctica. It's amazing that if they lose their tail, a majority of them can grow another one, and some species are even able to change colour!! So, let's scale up our Thursday entertainment with some interesting lizard images and information! πŸ€”πŸ¦ŽπŸ¦ŽπŸ¦ŽπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜Ί There's no obligation to post images. The only thing we hope you do is have fun.
