Today marks the 120th anniversary of the first Wright Bros flights in the 'Flyer', North of Big Kill Devil Hill, North Carolina. Orville originally achieved a distance of 120 feet in 12 seconds, and Wilbur, later in the day, piloted their craft over 852 feet in 59 seconds! We know that there had been various other attempts by humans to fly before that time, and modern engineering has now taken aircraft way beyond what original aviators could possibly have imagined, so let's have a look at some of those early aviators and their creations, and also any other interesting aircraft images you'd like to share, today. 🪁🎈🚁🛩️✈️😺 There's no obligation to post images.
